What You'll Do: Discovery Education is looking for a strategic, seasoned Marketing & Partner Success professional to join our CEP management team to drive partner growth. You will lead a portfolio of partner programs with organizations that share our mission to positively impact student achievement. Our corporate partners are diverse - big brands, social impact organizations, sports teams, thought leaders - which provides candidates the unique opportunity to work across a broad array of industries, disciplines and subject areas. You will thrive in an externally facing role with responsibility for leading a team of partnership professionals charged with driving impact through customer engagement, retention and program/revenue growth strategies. The body of programs includes initiatives in underfunded areas such as workforce readiness, careers, health and wellness, STEM, financial literacy, life skills and more. CEP programs support educating the whole-child and provide dynamic real-world learning opportunities for students nationwide, anchored by Discovery Education's award-winning K-12 services. You will be comfortable traveling 20-30%, or as the business requires to drive partner engagement and growth. Core focus: Establish and own a clear vision for building the CEP business by orchestrating profitable growth strategies with our portfolio of current partners , owning responsibility for ensuring dynamic collaboration with the Vice-Presidents of Strategic Alliances and National Partnerships to drive recurring revenue models. Leverage your depth of marketing experience to guide and support the development of break-through marketing and comms strategies (digital, social, grassroots, events) for all partner programs""supporting and mentoring both direct and matrixed marcomm team members. Own client relationship with senior-most executives at partner organizations, supporting team members in their day-to-day oversight of program deliverables. Drive data-driven decision making , leading against a set of defined and broadly understood KPIs that drive client growth, recurring revenue and K-12 student/educator impact Anticipate business cycles and strategically problem-solve , building skills within the team to do the same Guide direct reports and matrixed teams to continuously improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness ; while supporting all members to meet or exceed business targets Serve as the voice of our collective customers , providing clear and actionable direction and feedback to internal Operations team charged with building program components and/or activating K-12 services in target districts; partnering with head of Operations to collaborate on strategies to improve efficiencies and scalability Most importantly, lead business with the highest ethical standards, serving as player-coach and mentor to team of highly talented partner success/account professionals, owing the development of all team members to ensure company, team and individual success Who You Are: You have served as the lead marketing executive, preferably with experience in both a for-profit or non-profit capacity, with functional oversight of marketing and communications functions. You have owned P&L responsibility for a direct line of business and understand the financial building blocks of running and growing a business. You have experience leading an operational business unit , with full accountability for all aspects of staff management & development. You are Mission-Driven: Passionate about Discovery Education's vision to transform teaching and learning, experience in education or ed-tech industry a plus You have a Reputation as a Change Agent: with a minimum of 15 years of marketing leadership and/or direct sales and leadership responsibility, with proven ability to meet and exceed aggressive targets. To best support current team of partnership/program management professionals, and to compliment and expand existing skill sets, preference will be given to candidates with previous senior-level marketing and direct line sales experience across multiple products (i.e. SaaS, agency, etc.) You are a Proven innovative, strategic leader with strong analytical skills and able to take initiative and drive change Knowledge & Skills: You can demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of marketing and sales processes, client management, and strategies and tactics to grow revenue. Communication Skills: You have excellent written and oral communication skills appropriate for C-Suite level engagement, as well as impeccable interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to candidates with executive level presentation skills (appropriate for C-Suite and Board level engagement) as evidenced by representing previous employers on national industry panels, keynoting conferences, etc. Leadership: You demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and possess a reputation for being a solution-oriented, positive and growth-minded executive; strong work ethic driven by a sense of urgency, and ability to inspire others to act and fulfill Discovery Education's mission Collaborative: You love to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
