Marathon TS is seeking a Spunk Engineer to support a federal client in Washington, D.C.

s Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) System Engineer , you will support the design, deployment, implementation, and maintenance of the Splunk ITSI platform utilizing cyber engineering strategies, tools, and techniques to enhance the client's cybersecurity posture. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our IT services to meet system and program requirements and goals.

Job Duties:

• Design, deploy, configure, and customize Splunk ITSI to meet monitoring and analytics needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Implement and manage data inputs, including log files, metrics, and other data sources, to feed into Splunk ITSI.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and integrations to streamline processes.
• Provide technical expertise and support to resolve issues and optimize configurations.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning activities.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS
  Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certification(s):
    • Preferred, but not mandatory: Splunk Core Certified Experience:
      • Minimum 3 years' experience with Slunk Enterprise, including writing Splunk queries in SPL.
      • Required Experience:
      • Python.
      • Linux OS, services, daemons, containers, and VMs.
      • Splunk administration.
      • SIEM tools or software.
      • Demonstrated experience and abilities:
      • Working in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials.
      • Critical, analytical, and strategic thinking.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and requirements, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
      • Desired experience/familiarity in/with:
      • Supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
