talented Staff Systems Engineer to join our Systems Integration &
Test team under the Tactical Fighters Business Unit. Candidate
should be a self-starter with a strong mechanical or electrical
engineering background. This position will be in Linthicum, MD. As
part of the Systems Engineering Integration & Test functional
homeroom, the Staff Systems Engineer will be responsible for
leading system-level hardware qualification testing. Roles &
Responsibilities: Manage the planning, scheduling and
implementation of EMI/EMC test and general support of EMI/EMC
testing activities Help develop and implement appropriate quality
measures and process improvement efforts Lead the system bench and
execute qualification test procedures for Environmental, EMI, and
Electrical Power Testing Troubleshooting hardware failures
specifically with Environmental, EMI and Electrical Power testing
conditions Effective communication with team leadership and
multi-disciplinary teams Ability to communicate test failures and
support troubleshooting effort Support test environment stand up at
ETL and maintain interface documentation Interface with hardware
and systems engineers in support of troubleshooting and
verification A current/active DoD Secret clearance and the ability
to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program clearance is
required before starting Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems
Engineer: Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, a Master’s
degree with 10 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 8 years of
experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or
related technical fields US citizenship is required Active Secret
Clearance or higher and ability to obtain Special Access Program
(SAP) clearance before starting is required 6 years of experience
with systems hardware 7 years of experience troubleshooting and
resolving complex hardware integration issues Familiarity in a Lab
Environment Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions
Ability to write test procedures Familiarity with executing MATLAB
scripts Preferred Qualifications: Process/analyze d ata to generate
qualification report SDRLs (supplier data requirement list) Compile
data and define changes required in test equipment, test
procedures, or new test requirements Experience writing and running
MATLAB scripts in MATE (MATLAB Automated Test Environment)
Experience executing formal test procedures in a lab environment
Experience with RF Hardware and test equipment Experience with
Environmental, EMI/EMC integration and testing This position in
contingent upon clearance and special program access. As a

work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who
work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other
Friday off. Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may
be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health
