General Summary of Position
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is adding a Specialty
Clinical Pharmacist to its team in Washington, DC.
Collaborates with providers to ensure safe and effective use of
specialty medications and improves communication among the
patient's healthcare team by reviewing and evaluating clinical
guidelines, formulating protocols, conducting medication
reconciliation, creating patient care plans and providing patient
consultation that will improve patient medication adherence,
health, well-being and knowledge. Documents and reports on
healthcare-related interventions and outcomes. Participates in the
process of maintaining specialty pharmacy accreditation. Minimum
