Registered Nurse (RN) | Ambulatory Care Location: Washington, DC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,314 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Clinical Nurse Coordinator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years minimum experience required License: Must have DC license in hand Certifications: BLS required; OCN and ONS/ONCC preferred Must-Have: - Experience in outpatient and inpatient oncology - Prior travel assignment required Description: The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will work in an outpatient oncology setting. The role requires the recognition and communication of abnormal lab values. Care coordination is essential to ensure patient safety and treatment continuity. The nurse will implement isolation and neutropenic precautions as necessary. Psychosocial care and symptom management will be key responsibilities. Experience with bladder, brain, breast, colorectal, ENT, kidney, leukemia, and blood dyscrasias cancers is preferred. The candidate should be skilled in patient education and support to families. Telephone triage skills are required for effective problem-solving. The nurse must demonstrate knowledge of advanced directives and alterations in skin and mucous membranes. Assessing medication tolerance and dependence will also be part of the role. Daily census includes caring for adult and geriatric patients with medical oncology diagnoses. Intercepting and responding to patient needs promptly is imperative. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will also assist with special procedures like GYN examinations and bone marrow biopsies.
