registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A specialized nursing opportunity is available in
the cardiovascular stepdown/telemetry unit, focusing on
postoperative cardiac surgery patients transitioning from the ICU.
This contract position requires an experienced cardiac
tele/stepdown nurse skilled in managing chest tubes and
dysrhythmias to provide expert care in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Situated in Woodbridge, VA, this role places you close to
a vibrant community with excellent amenities, parks, and cultural
activities. Woodbridge offers a suburban atmosphere with easy
access to urban centers, making it an appealing location for both
work and life balance. Schedule: - 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
(07:00 AM 07:00 PM) - Days - Every other weekend Key
Responsibilities: - Monitor and manage cardiac surgery patients
recovering from ICU care - Administer complex nursing interventions
including chest tube management and cardiac rhythm monitoring -
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient
recovery and safety - Utilize telemetry skills to closely observe
and respond to cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias - Complete required
documentation and participate in EPIC training as necessary
Qualifications: - Active VA or Compact RN license - Current BLS and
ACLS certification - Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with
proven expertise in cardiac telemetry and stepdown units -
Experience in managing chest tubes and dysrhythmias - Familiarity
with cardiovascular surgical patient care and telemetry - EPIC
training requirement based on recent exposure (either Clin Doc
Accelerated or Clin Doc 2 Day) Additional Information: - Flu
vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1Mar 31); exemptions
reviewed per CMS guidelines - Contract length: 13 weeks - Start
date dependent on EPIC training schedule This position offers a
