Job Description:

MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization in the DMV area, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Vehicle Operator to join our Emergency Services team. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients in need of urgent medical attention. The Emergency Vehicle Operator will be responsible for operating emergency response vehicles under varying situations and ensuring that patients are transported safely to medical facilities. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of emergency response protocols and possess excellent driving and decision-making skills under pressure. Operate emergency vehicles in a safe and efficient manner following all traffic laws and regulations. Maintain a thorough understanding of all emergency vehicles operations including navigation devices and necessary medical equipment. Communicate effectively with dispatch and emergency medical teams to coordinate patient transport. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated with new procedures and enhance driving skills. Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of emergency vehicles at all times. Document transport details and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance.
