Job Description:
This position is located in the Standards and Procedures Group
(AJV-P3) within the Policy Directorate (AJV-P), in Mission Support
Services (AJV-0). The Standards and Procedures Group is responsible
for providing operations support and policy/procedures development,
implementation, and approval. They also serve as the primary point
of contact for the service area/centers and field facilities for
standards and procedures issues.To qualify for the position, you
must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one
year of specialized experience equivalent to the (FV-I or
FG/GS-13). This experience should be related to the work of the
position and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities
necessary to perform the duties successfully. To be creditable, the
experience must be at least equivalent to the next lower level in
the normal career progression for the occupation within the
organization.Specialized Experience is defined as:
- Experience collaborating across organizations, both internal
and external to the ATO, to gather technical data and develop
procedural guidance.
- Experience preparing technical reports and issue papers related
to air traffic operations.
- Experience applying risk-based decision-making principles in
developing or revising Air Traffic policies and procedures, or
applying the ATO SMS Manual in such development or revisions.
- Experience conducting assessments of terminal and/or en route
operations to provide comprehensive summaries to superiors, peers,
and field personnel.Additionally, experience in a military or
civilian air traffic facility that demonstrates knowledge of air
traffic control laws, rules, and regulations is required. This
experience should showcase the skills and abilities necessary for
the specific specialization.Applicants should include relevant
